A couple of weeks later, I ordered the Vortex Quick Connect Riser specifically made for the Venom. It was too low to use comfortably for more than a few shots at a time. With the Venom, my groups at a hundred yards tightened up very quickly and were very consistent. Using a laser bore sight, I was quickly able to adjust the windage and elevation to superimpose on the boresight at a hundred yards. Small, compact, and a superior design to the cheapos, I was amazed at the superior coated lens and the first site I'd tried with a Dot that really was a Dot, not a fuzzy and imperfect dots that were anything but a dot.
